Adeboye commissions RCCG maternity centre in Ekiti
Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God on Sunsay commissioned a state-of-the-art maternity centre in Ekiti state.
The multi-million facility, equipped with modern medical equipment, was built by the RCCG Life Fountain Cathedral, located at the Ekiti state Region 25 headquarters in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.
Representing Pastor Adeboye at the commissioning, Pastor Funsho Odesola, the Assistant General Overseer, Admin & Personnel, and the Continental Overseer for Africa Continent 3, RCCG, expressed gratitude for the church’s initiative in establishing the maternity centre.
He highlighted the positive impact it would have on the community, providing solutions to maternal and other health challenges.
He commended the church’s leadership, stating, “Everyone that is Godly must also be progressive in mindset; the building of the facility is a step ahead and to a high level, and we thank God for the church here for thinking out something good.”
Pastor Odesola emphasized the significance of the RCCG maternity hospitals, likening them to life centers where miraculous healings take place.
He expressed confidence that the Regional pastor and his wife, who is a midwife, would utilize the facility to address maternal issues and make a substantial impact on the community.
Pastor Esther Abdullahi, the wife of the Regional Pastor, shared the church’s commitment to the health needs of its members and the broader community, especially pregnant women.
She stated, “It is the vision of the RCCG to have maternity centres in all our churches,” and expressed her dedication to offering quality services at the newly established centre.
Highlighting the goal of preventing maternal deaths due to the actions of quacks, Pastor Esther Abdullahi stated, “In line with the agenda of the wife of the state governor, Dr Olayemi Oyebanji, to end the trend of pregnant women dying during delivery, we have put in place this centre where our women will come to have safe and sound deliveries.”
Mrs. Peju Babafemi, the Commissioner for Women’s Affairs in the state, applauded the church’s initiative, acknowledging its positive impact on pregnant women’s access to quality maternity services.
