Fire razes Canadian high commission, two injured

A fire incident occurred at the High Commission of Canada to Nigeria, located in Abuja’s Central Business District on Monday.

The Head of Operations of the FCT Fire Service, Amiola Adebayo, confirmed the incident, stating ‘ “Yes, yes, it’s true. We have two fatally injured and the others in the hospital, either three or four.”

Additionally, he stated that about three to four other victims have been promptly transported to local hospitals for medical attention.

The incident has led to a major evacuation of the High Commission staff from the building, which is situated at 13010G, Palm Close, Diplomatic Drive, Central Business District in Abuja.

The details surrounding the incident are still unclear.
