Ogun students appeal to Dapo Abiodun over bursary payment
The National Association of Ogun State Students has appealed to the state governor, Dapo Abiodun, to do more in paying bursaries and scholarships for Ogun indigent students.
The student body also congratulated Abiodun for his victory at the Ogun State Governorship Tribunal while also appreciating him for his giant strides over the last four years.
NAOSS made the appeal in a communiqué issued at the end of its National Convention held at the Nigeria Labour Congress Secretariat, Leme Abeokuta, from 6th to 7th October 2023, where new officials to pilot affairs of the association were elected.
The communiqué read in part: “The Senate congratulated the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun on his victory at the Ogun State Governorship Tribunal and appreciated him for his giant strides over the last 4 years and counting.
“The Senate however implores the governor to do more in the payment of bursaries and scholarships for Ogun indigent students.”
NAOSS also applauded the National Labour Congress for playing host to OGUN indigenous students across the country.
