Manchester City sign Matheus Nunes from Wolves
Manchester City have completed the signing of Matheus Nunes from Wolves on a five-year deal.
Popular sports journalist Fabrizio Romano announced this on his verified X(formerly Twitter) account on Friday, deadline day for the transfer.
The club also confirmed the transfer on its official website.
“The midfielder has joined Pep Guardiola’s squad from fellow Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers on a five-year deal, which will see him stay at City until the summer of 2028”
Nunes, 25, is a Portuguese midfielder playing for Wolves since 2020. He made 36 appearances for the club, scoring one goal.
The Portuguese international becomes our fourth signing of the summer, following Croatian duo Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol, as well as Belgian winger Jeremy Doku, through the door.
