The Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Spanish club, Real Madrid beat Gareth Bale and Antoine Griezmann to the award.
The award was presented to Ronaldo at the UEFA Champions League draw held at Monaco on Thursday.
“This year was special because we won the European Championship with Portugal and the success with Real,” the 31 year-old-said.
