Kaduna varsity professor slumps to death

A Kaduna State University professor Muhammad Sani Abubakar has slumped and died on Friday afternoon.

Abubakar who was until death a Professor of Renewable Energy and Molecular Physics at KASU passed away at the age of 67.

Prof. Abubakar was pronounced dead after he was rushed to the institution’s clinic after collapsing, according to Politics Nigeria.

Although the cause of death was not disclosed, Abubakar has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Before death, Prof. Abubakar served as Director of Programmes at the National Board for Technical Education as well as the Acting Executive Secretary.

Upon retirement, the deceased was appointed as the Director at the Centre for Technical and Vocational Education under the NBTE.

He subsequently moved to the Department of Physics at KASU, becoming Professor of Renewable Energy and Molecular Physics.

He is survived by two wives, 10 children and grandchildren.
