Why ‘I forgot to inform Buhari’ about my Presidential ambition – Kingsley Moghalu
A former presidential aspirant Kingsley Moghalu has shaded the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu and Ebonyi State Governor, Dave Umahi, after declaring their intentions to run for the presidency in 2023.
WuzupNigeria reported that Tinubu and Umahi, less than 24 hours apart, visited the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) to inform him of their presidential ambitions on the platform of the APC.
However, in a tweet on Wednesday, Moghalu who although didn’t direct his comments towards Tinubu and Umahi said that he forgot to inform Buhari of his intentions to run for the seat.
Moghalu, who ran for President under the Young Progressives Party in 2019 argued that he informed Nigerians, amongst whom the president belongs, and as such he has no problem.
“I forgot to inform President @Mbuhari that I am running for President. But I informed Nigerians, of whom he is one, so no wahala!” He wrote.
Recall that Tinubu and Umahi had both visited Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Monday and Tuesday respectively.
Meanwhile, Umahi revealed that Buhari advised him to seek the support of the people.
