Hollywood actor, Alec Baldwin, has broken silence after he accidentally shot and killed a director of photography Halyna Hutchins on the set of his movie Rust.
WuzupNigeria quoting People reported that Hutchins, 42, was airlifted to the University of New Mexico Hospital after the shooting where she later died due to the injuries sustained.
The film’s director, Joel Souza, 48, was also injured during the fatal accident.
Reacting in a Twitter statement, Baldwin who was starring in and co-producing the film, said: “There are no words to convey my shock and sadness regarding the tragic accident that took the life of Halyna Hutchins, a wife, mother and deeply admired colleague of ours.
“I’m fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred.
“I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna.”
