Men comfortable with being ‘broke’ bothers women – Alibaba
Nigerian stand-up comedian and master of ceremonies, Atunyota Alleluya Akpobome, professionally known as Ali Baba, has said that ladies have no problem being in a relationship with ‘broke’ men.
The 56-year-old who disclosed this on his Instagram page on Monday said women genuinely care about men as most times it affects them mentally and physically.
He said the only reservations that these women have toward these ‘broke’ men is the fact that most of them are comfortable in that state and devise no means to get something doing.
“Most women don’t have a problem with a broke man, they have a problem with a man who is comfortable with being broke,” he said.
As expected a section of the womenfolk has reacted.
@romolapeters said; “Besides, some men take things out on you cause they are broke. They are on the edge everytime, u are scared about their future than u scared about yours sef, Cause u are like “shey this one can handle failure like this”. It is exhausting.
@adaobiisandra said; “Not just comfortably broke but broke and add domestic violence to the list. A woman’s duty is to support and cover her broke partner but what can she do when he also beats her, refuses her spending her money, flirts with women with his partners money. Yet no one knew she was the breadwinner.
@smallbutmighty0798 said; “And what do we have to say about those that are rich and stupid nko bayi🤷♀️🤷♀️, cos I’ve seen one this bring about the true definition of ‘life no balance’
@tegilicious said; “Show working…One day e go materialise don’t just sit your ass and say what’s going to be will be. Any waiting for things to drop on your lap without going for it… it’s only a madwoman that would see all your effort and still nag you for being broke.
Meanwhile, @akanbi_om expressed a contrary opinion, he said; “Is there anyone who is comfortable with being broke. Nah! I will say they’re just being contended while believing in their hustle. If hard work is money. Those offloading cement, quarry, etc will be the richest. My brother. It’s God. No need to rush. Contentment”
