EUL: Man Utd beat Granada, Slavia Prague hold Arsenal
Manchester United secured an emphatic 2-0 away win against Granada in the first leg of their Europa League quarter-finals.
Marcus Rashford gave United a 31st minute lead after a sublime pass from defender, Lindelof.
United doubled the lead at the death when Bruno Fernandes squeezed in a 90th-minute penalty.
Solskjaer’s men are now one leg in the semifinal as their quest for a trophy this season depends solely on the competition.
Meanwhile, Slavia Praga salvaged a point against Arsenal at the Emirates stadium.
After a goalless first half, both sides remained inseparable for well over an hour and 20 minutes but the game lit up with about 10 minutes to the end of the match.
The Gunners broke the deadlock jn the 86th minute through Nicholas Pepe and looked to take the home advantage to the Czech Republic next week.
But it was Prague who made most of the opportunity by scoring an equaliser at the death (90+4′) through Tomáš Holeš.
The important away goal would prove vital when they host Mikel Arteta’s men next week for the return leg.
