Former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose has warned the House of Representatives members of an expected invitation from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.
This, according to Fayose, would be the repercussion of inviting the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari for questioning over the Borno Killings.
Recall that, earlier today, the Femi Gbajabiamila-led Reps moved a motion (which was unanimously adopted by the lawmakers) to summon the president over the killing of at least 43 rice farmers in Borno State on Saturday.
Reacting on his verified Twitter handle, Fayose opined that the Buhari sees the National Assembly as toothless bulldogs.
He further warned the Rep members at the forefront of the invitation to expect EFCC invitations, freezing of accounts or arrest for their actions.
“I will be surprised if the President honours the House of Reps invitation. The National Assembly that is supposed to be representing the people should know by now that in the eyes of this President, they only exist on paper because they are mere toothless bulldogs.
“Some of those Rep members at the forefront of the invitation of the President to appear before the House should expect EFCC invitation, freezing of their accounts or arrest for plotting to bring down legitimate government of the President. I warned.”
