LASEMA extinguishes fire at filling station in Ogba
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, has extinguished the fire that occurred inside a filling station located at Ajayi Road in Ogba Aguda area of Lagos.
Investigations by the LASEMA Response Team revealed that the fire occured as a result of spillage from the articulated truck laden with 33,000litres of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS, (Petrol).
However, the inferno was quickly curtailed due to the prompt response of the agency’s team in conjunction with the Lagos State Fire Team.
The leaky valve which was the source of the fire has been shut off after the fire extinguished. Blanketing of the truck and entire area is ongoing in order to avert any secondary incident.
