VIDEO: How Nigerians are sold as slaves for farm work in Libya
A CNN video has provided solid evidence showing that even though slave trade was abolished several years ago, it persists in Libya.
The video which was shot in August 2017 was published recently showing footage of a warehouse in which men are auctioned off into slavery.
In the investigation done by CNN, it was discovered that migrants were being auctioned for as low as $400. Most of the slaves were migrants seeking to cross to Europe via the Mediterranean sea to Italy.
