Policemen in Cross River State shot dead five alleged kidnappers in Ikom, Cross River State on Wednesday.
According to multiple reports, the suspects had kidnapped a recently widowed prominent woman and all efforts to make them collect N5million ransom instead of N50million, fell on deaf ears.
They were however ambushed by policemen and the victim was rescued alive.
