The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has warned the All Progressives Congress, APC, against any attempt to rig the upcoming gubernatorial election in Edo State.

PDP’s National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan warned that any attempt to rig the September 19 governorship election would be resisted.

A statement by Ologbondiyan said APC should desist from their plots to rig the election because people of Edo State will firmly resist them.

Ologbondiyan said APC should be ready to accept defeat during the election.

He said:

“The APC, by now, should know that attempting to rig, by any way whatsoever, will surely be met with stiff resistance and dire consequences from the people.

“Our party cautions the APC to desist from their plots to rig the Edovelection as the people of Edo will firmly resist them. The APC should rather blame themselves for their woes and get ready to accept their inevitable crushing defeat at the poll.”

Recall that PDP had alleged of a plot by the APC to rig the governorship election in Edo State.
