A prophet of a new generation church based in Asaba, Delta state caught last week for allegedly trying to have sex with a woman in her matrimonial home has spoken out on what actually happened.
It was earlier reported on this website that the prophet had gone to the woman’s apartment to have sex with her when he was caught naked and beaten to a pulp.
His nude photograph went viral on social media soon after the incident.
Meanwhile, in a chat with WuzupNaija correspondent in Asaba, Prophet Obi O. Obi claimed it was a set up by those he referred to as his enemies.
He said as a man of God, he is expected to experience one form of tribulation or the other, adding that he had forgiven his accusers as a Christian who preaches forgiveness.
The prophet however declined to throw more light on the incident and what took him to the woman’s apartment.
However, it was gathered that the scandal did not deter members of his church, Anchor of Restoration, from worshiping on Sunday as the church was filled to capacity.
