JUST IN: Kidnapped Abia radio presenter regains freedom
A staff of Pacesetter FM, Umuahia, Chineye Iwuoha, has regained freedom from her abductors.
There was jubilation among her colleagues on Thursday morning when news of her release was broken.
While details of her release are still sketchy, it was gathered she was released unhurt.
Her abductors had demanded a N20m ransom.
Commissioner of Police, CP Janet Agbede, in a telephone interview, confirmed the release of the OAP.
Agbede said that the kidnappers released her unconditionally as police mounted heavy pressure on them.
At the time of filing the report, it was gathered she was at the police station.
