Aisha Buhari donates consumables, others to Kano
President Buhari’s wife, Mrs Aisha Buhari, on Monday, donated Personal Protective Equipment, medical consumables, as well as a variety of food items to the Kano State Government.
Presenting the items, Aisha’s Special Adviser on Administration, Hadi Uba, said the items would be distributed by the Aisha Buhari Foundation to 500,000 households in Kano State.
Uba said, “We have divided these palliatives into two. We have food items, consisting of rice, spaghetti, oil and others. We also have Personal Protective Equipment, which include gloves, goggles, face masks, sanitizers and drugs.

“We have decided to pass the PPEs to the state government to distribute to the needy. The food items will be distributed by the Aisha Buhari Foundation.”
Uba said Aisha’s gesture was meant to cushion the effects of the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19.
Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, Kano State Commissioner for Information, Mallam Muhammad Garba, thanked Mrs Buhari and promised that the items would be distributed accordingly.
