Osun: Man hangs self in his room
Osun State Command on Wednesday said it has commenced an investigation into the reported suicide of one Amos Ojedapo in Aato, a community in Ejigbo local government area of Osun State.
The 68-year old Ojedapo reportedly hung himself on the burglar-proof of his window in the early hours of Wednesday.
Upon discovery of his dangling body, his brother, Afolabi Rafiu, was said to have informed the police of the incident.
Sources in the town said police operatives have visited the scene.
Osun State Police Commissioner, Johnson Kokumo, confirmed the incident and explained that the body of the deceased was discovered around 9:37 am.
He said:
“One Afolabi Rafiu of Atepatan’s Compound of Aato via Ejigbo reported at the station that his brother, one Amos Ojedapo aged 68 years hanged himself with a rope on the burglary of the window of his room.
“Our detectives have visited the scene. The case is under investigation. We will ensure a diligent investigation is carried out to unravel the mystery behind the incident. “
