Gusau university student arrested for selling hard drugs to bandits

A 300 level student of Federal University Gusau, Mansur Mohammed has been arrested by the police in Zamfara for allegedly selling hard drugs to bandits.

Parading the suspect today, the state police commissioner, Usman Nagoggo said the suspect was arrested in Gusau town, following an information by some good Samaritans.

According to the Police Commissioner, “the suspect had been the source of supply of hard drugs to all sorts of criminals including the bandits”.

Nagoggo added that, the activities of the arrested student had no doubt fueled banditry in the state.

Some of the drugs recovered from the suspect included 59 bottles of codeine syrup, 20 sachets of Rohypnol, and two parcels of dry leaves suspected to be Indian hemp.

“On the strength of the information police raided his premises and arrested him with the above-mentioned exhibits”. Said the commissioner.

The suspect, according to the Commissioner would soon be charged to court for prosecution.
