Musa Wada emerges Kogi PDP gov candidate

Engineer Musa Wada has emerged the flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Kogi State.

Musa polled 748 votes to defeat his closest rival, the son of an Ex-Governor Ibrahim Idris, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Idris who scored 710 votes at the party’s primary held into the early hour of Wednesday when gunmen invaded the venue.

Engr. Wada defeated his elder brother, Capt. Idris Wada, who also contested the primary coming third behind his brother and Abubakar Ibrahim with 350 votes.
Others are Abubakar Aminu Suleiman who scored 55 votes, Victor Adoji 54 votes, Salihu Attawodi 11 votes, Joseph Erico Ameh 4 votes, Emmanuel Omebije 9 votes
Mohammed Shaibu Tetes four votes and Bayo Michael who scored two votes

Alhaji Ahmadu Fintiri, Adamawa state Governor, who presided over the primary at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja gave the breakdown of votes scored by the 13 aspirants that participated in the election.

The result was announced at 17.00 after the sorting and counting of the last two ballot boxes before the disruption by gunmen continued at the Rock and garden guest house.
