Actions from the ITTF Africa Senior Championship you should see (Photos)
The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) held its recent Africa Senior Championship in Morocco and it was concluded on Sunday.
Nigeria was represented with its team of brilliant table tennis stars. At the end of the championship, Nigeria’s Olufunke Oshonaike emerged the new African women’s single Table Tennis champion. The 42-year-old beat Egyptian Dina Meshref 4-2 in a keenly contested final game to clinch the crown.
Also first African to play in the quarter finals of the Olympic games table tennis event, Aruna Quadri and the African with the most appearance in the Olympics, Segun Toriola won the men’s doubles title for Nigeria at the ITTF Africa Senior Championships.

Pairing for the first time in a major championship, they conquered Egyptian teams to hold on to the title won in 2015 by Quadri and Kazeem Makanjuola.
The Nigerian duo defeated ageing Egyptians, El-Sayed Lashin and Ahmed Saleh 4-2, to give Nigeria its first gold medal in the one-week championship.
The Duo of Omotayo Olajide and Bode Abiodun could not equal the feat of Toriola and Quadri as they lost their semifinal match.
