Criticise, don’t insult Buhari, Twitterati warns Fani Kayode over ‘insensitive post’
Some Twitter users have condemned and backlashed Femi Fani-Kayode, a People Democratic Party chieftain for his uncensored tweets about President Muhammadu Buhari and his loyalties.
Many argued that as a former Minister of Aviation who is facing money laundering charges he plunged the nation into debt by “greedily” syphoning money meant for millions of Nigeria.
Some also pointed out that the age difference between the president and Fani Kayode should at least command a level of respect from the controversial social media pundit.
Fani Kayode Twitter thread reads,
“Nigeria is not a nation: she is an occupied territory of slaves, vassals and quislings that are not prepared to confront the monstrous beast that has held them captive and in bondage for the last 4 years.
“Most Nigerians are so cowardly that they dare not even speak truth to power.
“If Buhari asked his supporters to put their faces under his buttocks and literally eat his faeces, 99% of them would gladly do so.
“That is how badly he has damaged their psyche and destroyed their self-esteem.
“To them, Buhari is worthy of worship and is greater than god.”

Unfortunately. Older people in Nigeria constitute 98% of Nigeria’s problem. I read this post with so much disappointment coming from someone I like reading from. Wrong language and choice of words.

Dear FFK,
This tweet went too far.
Criticise, but don’t insult.
Language too ‘ad hominem’.
Enough venom to go around already.Cheers.

If you’re old enough to call me “young man”, then I expect you to be wise enough to remove strong language from a message.
I’m not a fan of @MBuhari, but last time I checked, he was approaching 80 years old, and he’s still the President of Nigeria.
It’s called RESPECT, old man!
