Nasarawa United’s head coach, Usman Adams, has attributed the team’s inability to secure a win against EFCC to the poor condition of the playing pitch at the Old Parade ground stadium.
Despite managing a goalless draw in the matchday two fixture of the Nigeria National League, Adams expressed disappointment with the team’s performance. He pointed to the uneven and bumpy surface of the pitch as a major factor in hindering their usual flow of play.
“The field made it impossible for us to have a free-flowing game,” Adams lamented. “We are grateful for the point picked up on the road, but we could have done better under more favorable conditions.”
While acknowledging the challenge posed by EFCC’s determination to bounce back from their opening-day loss, Adams emphasized that Nasarawa United will not take their next match against Mighty Jets lightly.
“The team is ready to put in the necessary work to improve our performance and secure a victory in our next game,” Adams stated. “We will not underestimate Mighty Jets, and we will approach the match with the same level of focus and determination.”
Nasarawa United’s upcoming encounter against Mighty Jets will be played in Lafia, and Adams is confident that his team will utilize the home advantage to their full potential.
