It has been 365 days since Leah Sharibu, who was abducted by Islamic State in West African Province [ISWAP], has been away from her loved ones.

To remember and bring her condition back into the world’s consciousness, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri led a protest to Nigeria’s High Commission in London.

Omokri also spoke with Leah’s mother and shared a word of prayer with her.

” I also spoke to Leah’s mum, Rubeccah Sharibu (not Rebecca) on speakerphone where she thanked the protesters and we shared a word of prayer with her”

WuzupNaija recalls that Leah was abducted alongside 118 other students of Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi, Yobe state. The others were released by ISWAP after negotiations with the Federal Government, but Leah was not released because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.
