30 Kwara catholic school students score above 300 in JAMB UTME
Following the release of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination results by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board on Monday, students have taken to social media to showcase their impressive scores.
Among them is a Catholic school, Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model Collage in Ilorin Kwara state whose students achieved remarkable results.
This is according to the results posted by Reverend Father Jude Okeh on X.
Reverend Father Jude Okeh, who tweets as @friajudeo said, “In the midst of JAMB saga, we have this from one of the Catholic schools…. there is a lot more of that.”
Of the thirty students, the highest scorers were Fasesin Ayomiposi and Kunle- Olawapo Ayomikun with a total of 355 scores each,
Other top performers include Adelodun Oluwadarasimi and Ayejuto Daniel with 341 points, and Idris Jamaaldeen with 333 points.
The reactions to the Catholic school’s performance were massive, with netizens expressing their thoughts on the matter.
@Haybee2024 remarked, “What did you expect from a school with over a million school fees.”
In response, @FriarjudeO countered, “I don’t think money is the issue here. When you pay and get the service, it is satisfying.”
@umehvic raised an interesting question, asking, “Why do schools managed by the church often perform better than those managed by the government? What model do they use that the government can’t employ too?”
In his reply, @FriarjudeO suggested, “Well, this question will better be answered by our brothers and sisters who have recently believed that the church destroyed our culture. I pity them though 😕.”
