The Senator representing Kogi West in the National Assembly, Dino Melaye, has said over 30 heavily armed policemen have surrounded his Abuja residence.
The controversial senator who made this known on his Twitter handle a few minutes ago was arrested this morning by men of the Nigerian Immigration Service at the International Wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja while on his way to Morocco for an official assignment.
Though he has been released, the trouble seems not to have ended as policemen stormed his residence in Abuja this afternoon to re-arrest him.
He tweeted,
“Over 30 heavily armed fierce looking mobile police men have just stormed My residence in Maitama, Abuja.
All roads leading to House has been condoned off, as heavy mobile police men blocked entry & exit of the road. They currently laid siege on in and around The house.”
