Popular Nigerian singer, 2Baba, also known as Innocent Idibia, has caused a stir online after performing a new song with vulgar lyrics during a recent comedy show in Lagos.

The music icon, who recently confirmed his separation from wife Annie Idibia, shocked many fans with his new single titled “Toto Mechanic”.

He performed the song at comedian Acapella’s show, where he described himself as a “woman’s private part repairman.”

In a clip from the show, 2Baba was heard singing:“I be t0to mechanic, no panic e. I just wan dey make your puna flenjor.”

The lyrics sparked mixed reactions on social media, with many Nigerians expressing shock and disappointment, especially given the singer’s ongoing personal troubles.

Instagram user layes_foodzng wrote: “Haa Natasha, you do this one.”

chiamaka_lotanna said: “Haaaaa osigini??? Shey na this man be this?”

momsie_z_z_z questioned: “Is 2Baba okay at all? Who are the people laughing? What’s funny?”

_heedith added: “Why do they all act senseless after leaving their wives?”

Another user, phrankiie, defended him: “He has been freestyling like this on stage for ages… the crowd always enjoys it. I don’t know why it’s a problem all of a sudden.”

The performance comes weeks after 2Baba confirmed that he and Annie had filed for divorce. He announced the separation on social media in January, saying he would share his full story later.

Fans have also linked the singer’s new behavior to his reported relationship with Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker from Edo State.

A video recently went viral showing 2Baba, Natasha, and his children—including Annie’s daughters, Isabella and Olivia, and his sons Nino and Zion—on a boat cruise.

Although the video’s date was unclear, many believed it was recorded before the divorce was made public.

Some Nigerians online praised Annie for staying quiet and maintaining her dignity despite the controversy.

One user, emjeeyboutique__, commented: “Just see who Annie has been covering for years. So many women are their husband’s crown.”

While 2Baba is known for his past freestyle performances, many fans believe the timing and lyrics of this new song are inappropriate, especially considering the current state of his personal life.
