Nigerian music star Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has responded to rumours that he was missing or kidnapped.

While performing at the Acapella comedy show, the singer said, “Allegedly, I have been missing. Allegedly, I have been kidnapped,” sparking laughter from the crowd.

His statement comes after reports claimed that his family had sent a petition to the Department of State Services, raising concerns about his sudden disappearance.

The tension within the family reportedly grew during his ongoing divorce with Nollywood actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia.

The drama increased when 2Baba openly showed affection for Edo State lawmaker, Hon. Natasha Osawaru. The lawmaker recently added “Idibia” to her name, just after Annie dropped the surname and returned to her maiden name, Macaulay.

So far, 2Baba has not said much about the divorce or his relationship with Hon. Osawaru, but his public appearance and comments seem to dismiss the claims of his disappearance.

The music legend has yet to directly address the DSS petition or give a detailed explanation, but his words at the show suggest he is aware of the public buzz surrounding him.
