A Medford man who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a chicken must register as a sex offender as part of his punishment.

The 27-year old man who is from Oregon, Joshua Brian Woltmon, pleaded guilty to sexual contact with poultry on June 21.

According to Mail Tribune, Woltmon was also accused of exposing his genitals in public and menacing someone with a stick. The matter was reported to have taken place on May 1.

Apart from registering as a sex offender, he was sentenced to 20 days in Jackson County Jail plus two years probation.

Woltmon has a record of convictions and the most recent being second-degree criminal trespassing plus methamphetamine possession in June.

In 2014 he was charged with third-degree theft for stealing a bicycle and then in 2016, assaulted his mother and a man during an argument. He was charged with fourth-degree assault.
