Primate Elijah Ayodele, founder of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church in Oke-Afa, Lagos, has cautioned President Bola Ahmed Tinubu about potential challenges in his bid for re-election in 2027, warning that a runoff could jeopardise his chances of securing another term.

The cleric made the remarks in a video circulating on social media, in which he outlined three possible developments that he believes could influence the outcome of the next presidential election.

According to Ayodele, a runoff could pose a significant obstacle to Tinubu’s re-election ambition. He also raised the possibility of a political crisis that could disrupt the electoral process.

“I want to tell Tinubu straight. If this election goes to runoff, sincerely, you will not win. “Three things can happen to this election. The election might go to runoff, that might runoff Tinubu.”

Ayodele further suggested that the 2027 election could face extraordinary political complications, including the possible declaration of a state of emergency and a situation in which no final result is announced.

“The election might cause state of emergency, whereby they wanted to stop this election, and there may not be a result. Then three, Tinubu needs prayers. The family of Tinubu listen to a prophet now,” he said.

Ayodele Raises Concerns About Tinubu’s Second-Term Bid

The cleric also expressed concern about the possible consequences of Tinubu pursuing a second term, warning that the political situation could become unpredictable if the president pressed ahead with his ambition.

“If Tinubu enforces himself to go for second term, I don’t know what will happen. I’m not in the hand of that government. There may be casualty. Honestly. And Shettima may not even be allowed,” Ayodele said.

His comments also cast uncertainty on the political future of Vice-President Kashim Shettima, although the cleric did not provide further details about the circumstances behind his prediction.

Despite the warnings, Ayodele did not completely dismiss Tinubu’s chances of winning re-election, suggesting that the outcome could still depend on the steps taken by the president.

What Ayodele Said About Atiku Abubakar

Ayodele also turned his attention to former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, who is identified in the account as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate for the 2027 election.

The cleric suggested that Atiku had some prospects in the contest, while arguing that the former vice-president could undermine his own chances through his decisions.

“As it is now, if they vote, they will not vote Tinubu. Atiku having a little bit of chances. But Atiku have not seen now,” he said.

Ayodele went on to warn Atiku against what he described as a failure to heed divine direction, claiming that the former vice-president’s own choices could become an obstacle to his political ambitions.

“Protocol will kill Atiku. Careful, Atiku will kill Atiku. And if they now allow Tinubu, I’m saying it, it may establish my prophecy, right? But God loves Atiku, Atiku did not love himself,” he said.

The cleric’s remarks presented the two political figures with different warnings, focusing on Tinubu’s re-election plans and what he portrayed as Atiku’s need to reconsider his approach.

Cleric Urges Tinubu to Reflect on Political Ambitions

In his closing remarks, Ayodele urged Tinubu to consider the possible consequences of his political decisions, suggesting that past actions and their repercussions could eventually affect a person’s ambitions.

“Honestly, Tinubu could have been the best, but Tinubu did not see that there’s always revenge, nemesis.”

He concluded with a broader message about the need for caution when pursuing personal and political goals.

“For anything we are looking for in this world, let’s watch carefully.”

Ayodele’s statements remain predictions attributed to the cleric. The remarks, as presented in the circulating video, do not establish what will happen in the 2027 presidential election.
