A church-owned school, Deeper Life High School, has announced that no fewer than 174 students across its campuses nationwide scored 300 and above in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination.
The school shared the post with pictures and scores of the 174 students via its official Facebook page.
The post read, “BREAKING NEWS! 🌟DLHS 2024 UTME CHAMPIONS! 🎉🏆. Despite JAMB’s announcement that only around 0.5% of candidates nationwide scored 300 and above in the 2024 UTME, an astounding hundred and seventy-four (174) students of DLHS exceeded expectations with flying colors by scoring 300 and above! 🚀📚
CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CHAMPIONS👏🏼🤝🥳.”
Nigerians have reacted positively to the post shared by the school through their comments.
A Facebook user, Adara Tope, wrote, “Vanguard of intellectuals, nurtured for the best. Integrity, integrity and integrity should be our next agenda in Nigeria.

Another Facebook user with username, Ada Julia Obia wrote “Congratulations DLHS champions and the great teachers and the DLHS management for this outstanding performance. These are leaders with integrity with no compromise. May you continue to improve as the years go by in Jesus mighty name. God bless you all.”
Ego Okonkwo Nweje also wrote “I trust DLHS. I’ve been waiting for this. Congratulations to them.I also noticed that in this year’s JAMB, people that wrote this combination(Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics) did better than other combinations.”
The examination body, through its registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, stated that, among other reasons, the board considers the UTME “only a ranking examination.” Hence, the board decided not to disclose the names of the highest-scoring candidates in the just-concluded UTME.
