2023: Why APC afraid of e-transmission of results – Okowa
THE Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, has said the All Progressives Congress is afraid of the electronic transmission of election results because of its abysmal failure in the past six years,
The Commissioner for information, Charles Aniagwu, in a press statement, expressed the thoughts of the governor saying those kicking against electronic transmission have plans to hijack and rig elections in 2023.
He said that the transmission of results would guarantee free and fair polls in the country and guard against interception and snatching of results.
He said, “Delta representatives in National Assembly that voted against transmission did so out of their selfish desire and not the aspiration of Deltans.
“APC is scared of electronic transmission of results because of its abysmal failure in the past six years and those kicking against electronic transmission are planning to rig the election.”
On the ongoing voters’ registration by Independent National Electoral Commission, Okowa directed all the government appointees to go back to their communities and mobilize their people to participate in the registration.
