Speaking in a separate tweet, Samklef opened op on his displeasure with the wat the country is being run by the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd).

His comments come at a time when the unity of the country is being threatened by ethnic clashes between the Yorubas and Hausa in the south-west, as well as terrorism, banditry and the unchecked kidnappings and killings across the country, which has been blamed on the AK-47 wielding Fulani herdsmen.
There is also the issue of instability in the economy – recall that the country just eased out of recession according to the Nigerian Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report for (Q4 and Full Year 2020) which was released on Thursday in Abuja.
The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS), revealed that Nigeria’s GDP grew by 0.11 per cent in Quarter Four (Q4) 2020, from the 6.11 per cent contraction in Q3, signalling a gradual recovery from recession.
However, speaking in a previous tweet, the Suwe singer opined that a democratically elected government that can’t deal with criticism should resign and allow young souls to lead the country.
“We voted for democratic government and if any presidency can’t take criticism, make dem resign.. stop using DSS to threaten people. We need a young soul to lead us, come 2023. No past soldier or custom. A pure soul that will listen and lead.
“We need somebody that can run Nigeria as a business. Who do you think will be the best candidate for 2023?”
