2019 ELECTIONS! Ambode, Obafemi Hamzat, submit nomination forms [Photos]
Two Lagos State gubernatorial aspirants, the incumbent governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, and former Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, on Wednesday, submitted their APC nomination forms.
This is coming after unconfirmed reports say that the relationship between Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and Ambode is strained.
Chief Dele Momodu, who confirmed the news of Ambode’s form submission wrote on Twitter,
“Governor Akinwunmi Ambode defies all odds, submits nomination forms in Abuja…”
Meanwhile, another gubernatorial aspirant, Babajide Sanwoolu, has spoken for the first time after he submitted his nomination forms.

He wrote on his Twitter page;
“Thank you all for your interest and support, in the coming days I hope to be engaging you, my people, more and we will put out our blueprint and bold plans for our dear Lagos State. God bless you all.”
The aspirants, who were former commissioners in the state, Dr Obafemi Hamzat and Jide Sanwoolu, were said to have claimed to have Tinubu’s backing.

Recall that WuzupNaija had reported that the Lagos Peoples Democratic Party, have allegedly offered the party’s ticket to businessman, Femi Otedola.
It is reported that Otedola has accepted the offer.
