The Social Democratic Party (SDP) on Thursday adopted President Muhammadu Buhari as its candidate for the 2019 election.
The adoption is part of the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC) resolution at the ongoing NEC meeting in Abuja.
Nigeria’s presidential election holds on February 16th. Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress, and the People’s Democratic Party’s candidate, Atiku Abubakar, are believed to be the front-runners in the race to govern the world’s most populous black nation.
