President Muhammadu Buhari on Monday attended the national caucus meeting of the ruling All Progressive Congress held at the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
However, the National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu was absent in the meeting. His absence might not be unconnected with the assignment assigned to him by the president.
Tinubu is currently heading a presidential reconciliation committee set up to reconcile aggrieved party members across the country. It had earlier been speculated that he may present his interim report at the meeting.
Buhari led other top government officials elected on the platform of the party to discuss pressing internal issues affecting the party.
Other top government officials present at the meeting included; Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo; President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki; Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and state governors.
Meanwhile, the party had also scheduled the meeting of its National Executive Council (NEC) for Tuesday.
