The lawmaker representing Kaduna Central Senatorial district in the National Assembly, Senator Shehu Sani, has described the promises of President Muhammadu Buhari and his main challenger at 2019 presidential elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, as mythical and a mirage.
Senator Sani noted that Buhari and Atiku have realised that majority of voters do not understand restructuring and have, therefore, simplified their message to “mythical three square meals and 24 hours mirage electricity” in place of the ‘too grammatical’ restructuring.
Senator Sani said this on Tuesday via his Twitter account. The 51years old lawmaker wrote:
The major candidates realized that the word restructuring is ‘too grammatical’ for voters to decipher or fathom, so they simplified their message; one candidate is promising mythical three square meals for 170million; and the other candidate is promising 24 hrs mirage electricity.

WuzupNaija reports that Buhari and Atiku are vying to be Nigeria’s next president as flagbearers of the All Progressives Congress [APC] and the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] respectively.
Sani had in October defected from the APC and joined the People’s Redemption Party (PRP), three days after he left the All Progressives Congress.
Sani, in a statement by his Special Adviser, Political and Ideology, Mr Suleiman Ahmed, in Abuja had said he left the APC because impossible “to continue to co-habit with reactionaries and their perfidious and inimical style of politics”.
He added,
“Sen. Sani maintains the highest respect and honour for President Muhammadu Buhari. However, we prefer to live in a Cottage of Honour than a mansion of shame.
“Sen. Shehu Sani has returned to the PRP. PRP represents our socialist revolutionary ideology.
“Sen. Sani is now free from the toxicity and infamy APC existentially represents.
“We left the APC for the emperors and their lackeys.”
