CSKA Moscow forward, Ahmed Musa, has fired the Super Eagles of Nigeria to 2-0 victory over Iceland as the Eagles move closer to qualifying for the knockout stage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
After a goalless first half that was cagey, the Nigerians roared into the lead with a superb counterattack that saw Moses send a low cross to Musa, who controlled perfected and rifled home from within the six-yard box to put Nigeria one-nil up against a very dogged Icelandic defence.
Musa was against on the end of another long cross, with his pace, he drove into the Iceland box, put on two players and again unleashed a powerful drive into the roof of the Iceland net.
The win gives Nigeria three points and takes them into second place, ahead of next week’s decider against Argentina.
