In what can only be described as bizarre, a 29-old penniless student as won her self a multi-millionaire husband and is set to marry a five-times wed Russian oligarch with a luxury mansion, yacht and use of a private jet.
Yulia Sveshnikova, who played herself into a life of luxury in a TV game show, organised by 55-year-old oil tycoon Konstantin Scherbinin’s children.
According to THE SUN UK, Scherbinin’s children were the judges in the TV game that was meant to pick a “hot” new bride for their father.
Some 2,000 hopefuls applied for the bizarre Russian show called Millionaire for Marriage.
Two of the eccentric Scherbinin’s five children, aged between 16 and 35, are older than the woman who will now become their stepmother and his “sixth and final wife”.
Three years ago Yulia arrived with no money in the Russian capital from Khabarovsk, a remote city in the east of Siberia.
Since then she has become a student and works part-time as an events manager.
“I am a fearless person,” she told the audience on U TV channel.
“I made up my mind to move to Moscow and just did it, arriving with empty pockets,” she said, adding: “Not everyone would dare to do this.”
Showing off her £36,500 diamond ring, she boasted:
“Yes! Today I won…Here is my ring. I am the winner. I won. That’s it. I did well. Who did well? I did.”
Her new beau told her:
“Yulia, princess. You are very spectacular, kind, open – and this buys me.
“You gave me spring and this means very much for a man. I feel your sincerity, appreciate this.
“But men are hunters, you need to understand this. They do not like an easy prey.”
He forecast there could be “conflicts with my kids” – even though they helped their father choose his latest wife.
“My kids are all that I have for now. But today I chose you. I have never had a girl like you,” he said.
Later the multi-millionaire told viewers:
“I’m incredibly happy because finally, I’ve met a woman who doesn’t need my money, but needs my heart.”
Yulia beat two other finalists Maria Praim, 30, and Anna Kim, 34.
No date has been revealed for the nuptials
