2.1-magnitude earthquake hits in Armenia

A 2.1-magnitude earthquake has been detected in Armenia, according to APA, which cited information from the country’s Rescue Service under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The earthquake’s epicenter was identified 20 kilometers northwest of the city of Ijevan, with the seismic activity occurring at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The strength of the tremor at the epicentral area was recorded at 2-3 points.

The quake was reported across Tavush Province, affecting areas including the cities of Ijevan and Noyemberyan, along with the villages of Koghb, Achajur and Voskepar.

Residents in these locations experienced tremors with an intensity level of 2-3 points.
