Operatives of the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps have arrested 14 individuals in Berger, Lagos, for violating environmental laws.
This was disclosed by the state’s Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post on his personal X.com page on Thursday.
The offenders were caught crossing the highway without using pedestrian bridges and engaging in open defecation.
The operation is part of the state government’s efforts to maintain a clean and orderly environment in line with its “Zero Tolerance” policy.
WUZUPNIGERIA had reported earlier on Wednesday about the arrest of 16 other individuals who committed the same crime.
Wahab wrote, “Fourteen individuals were arrested at Berger last night for open defecation, open urination, and not using the pedestrian bridge.”
