Pastor Sam Adeyemi, the head pastor of Day Star Christian Centre has come under serious criticism following a post he tweeted on Sunday, October 30.
The pastor, revered for his knowledge of the word and his outstanding messages on leadership virtues had stated in his post that mental illness is caused by sin, adding that the solution is salvation.
Nigerians wouldn’t have any of these, however, as they quickly stunned the pastor with harsh words and response which clearly showed their distaste for the point as stated by the man of God.
His tweets:

Pastor Sam is ahead of House on the Rock on the Twitter Nigeria trends list. Should this controversy be made a weekly something?

Pastor Sam also mentioned that mentally ill people should seek medical help and when they’re better, get in tune with God’s word.

Pastor Sam’s msg on mental health has to be listened to wholly to get a full grasp of it, and not taken in isolation (from a tweet).
