1,091 Covid-19 cases recorded in Ogun
The Ogun State Government has said that a total of 1,091 confirmed COVID-19 cases have been recorded in the state since February.
This was contained in a statement on its verified social media handles on Tuesday.
Newsmen report that 743 of the total confirmed cases have recovered and discharged from isolation centres.
However, there 22 persons who could not survive complications from the deadly Coronavirus.
“As at 13th July, 2020, health authorities in Ogun State were managing 326 active cases, having recorded 4 new cases as part of the total 1091 confirmed cases, since the index case was reported in February,” the state government said.
The statement reads further that, “7 cases were also discharged, bringing to 743, the total number of cases so far discharged.
“The State has sadly so far recorded a cumulative of 22 deaths, making it extremely important for the public to comply with recommended preventive measures against the novel Coronavirus.”
Meanwhile, residents of Ogun State have been charged to stay safe by abiding by all COVID-19 preventive measures.
