A 10-year-old girl hawking three-leaf-yam was reportedly struck dead by stray bullets from a SARS operative in Agbonchia Eleme area of Rivers State On Saturday.
Graphic photos of the victim was posted on Facebook by Paul Amasi.
He wrote: “What a mess will are getting and facing in the land of Agbonchia Eleme from the SARs men of rivers state. Happening now, Eleme police and sars men short and kill an innocent 10years girl hookin treliveyam along the roadside.” [sic]
Nigerians commenting on Amasi’s post lamented the killing saying the spate of such incidents is increasing and should be curbed.
John Nde Gomba wrote: “The good people’s of Nigeria should call on the president Muhammad Buhari should direct the inspector general of police to call the Rivers state special anti-robbery squad commander and his men’s in order, because imagine SARS came to Agbonchia in Eleme local government area of Rivers state and they shoot sporadically and fly bullet killed this young girl that you are seeing lying. These incidents happened today been on 18/11/20l7. May the blood of this innocent girl speak like a blood of Abel in Jesus name, Amen.”
