PDP urges Nigerians to stay strong amid challenges this Easter
The Peoples Democratic Party is encouraging Nigerians not to lose hope despite the difficulties they face. The party emphasized the importance of Easter, a time when Christians celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, in strengthening faith and promoting unity.
According to a statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, the party acknowledges the hardships, insecurity, and uncertainty prevailing in the country but urges citizens to remain optimistic for a better future.
“Indeed, the coming of Easter, the celebration of the triumph of life over death serves as divine reassurance of the saving grace of God in the gift of Salvation to mankind and His willingness to bring succor in any adverse situation,” the statement said.
The party emphasized the need for Nigerians to support and uplift each other during these challenging times, highlighting unity and love as essential for national survival.
“We also call on leaders at all levels and spheres to renew the virtue of selfless service by directing their energies principally towards the wellbeing and happiness of the people,” the statement added.
Additionally, the party urged the Federal Government to address the high cost of essential commodities and services, emphasizing the importance of alleviating the suffering of the people.
