Ogun police nabs woman who trafficked teen to Libya

The Ogun State Police Command has apprehended a middle-aged woman, Abike Olonade, for allegedly trafficking a 16-year-old student to Libya.
The victim, whose identity remains undisclosed, was reportedly a student at Adeoye Lambo Secondary School in Obada Oko, Ewekoro Local Government Area.
According to Omolola Odutola, the spokesperson for the command, the arrest was made following a confession from the suspect herself.
In a statement released in Abeokuta on Saturday, Odutola revealed, “One Abike Olonade has been arrested for trafficking a 16-year-old student of Adeoye Lambo Secondary School in Obada Oko, Ogun State. She confessed that the victim has been trafficked to Libya.”
Authorities are urging the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to prevent further exploitation of innocent lives.
