Nigerians donate N10m to parents who welcomed quadruplets

Published

In another show of overwhelming love from Nigerians, the family of one Sodiq Olayode, whose wife, Abiodun, recently gave birth to quadruplets, has reportedly gotten donations of over N10 million.

This development comes after a colleague, James, identified as #jamysax on X.com, shared Olayode’s struggle with the need for diapers for the quadruplets, who used 105 diapers in six days on Tuesday.

James post then gained traction from netizens on X.com, which spurred the donations made to Olayode’s bank account that he provided on Wednesday.

Providing hourly updates, James wrote on X.com, “Hello, tueh tueh. As of 16:05, they have received 10,342,204 million.

“Also, someone is about to pay for three months delivery of diapers.”

He added that some individuals also offered to gift them baby items, among others.

Also, someone volunteered to pay their wages with 50k monthly for a year and also pay for a house help (50k) monthly for a year. That’s 100k per month for a year,” James stated.

He further shared that popular online market shopper gifted the couple foodstuffs.

He wrote, “Aunty Esther @MensahEstherOmo sent the father and mother of the quadruplet’s food stuff. Thank you.”

Commenting on this show of love from Nigerians, an X user, Debby29 wrote, “Omg 🥹Crying for total stranger’s yet again 😭God dis is so cute .Humanity will always win .I’m seriously crying here o🤟🤟🤟😩”

Sharing her own thoughts, @thesmallchoplady wrote, “Please let them use part of this money to get at least 3 nannies! The mummy and daddy need some rest! Birthing multiples is not beans and she looks like she’s about to breakdown!”

@Azusor David said, “Abeg husband and wife should not create twitter account before humans will start reminding them that their baby’s Pampers was given to them”

Commending the act, @bankole wrote, “Nigerians are good people sha. I still wonder why we find it hard to work collectively to displace bad governance”

@Morrismonye also said, “The greatest social media app in history. The app can lift you or break you. I don’t joke with the network of GENUINE people I’ve met here. I also don’t joke with X.”

Just like Olayode, Deborah Olaki (also known on X as Mummy Zee), became a millionaire in less than 48 hours after a post on X.com stating how she wakes up as early as 4.50 am to prepare her husband’s lunch in January.
