A tragic incident unfolded on the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway as a 25-year-old car washer, Olamide Quadri, stands accused of causing a fatal accident in Mushin, Lagos.

The mishap resulted in the death of one pedestrian and left three others injured.

According to reports, Quadri was entrusted with a car to wash. However, instead of sticking to his task, he allegedly took the vehicle for a test drive without the owner’s permission.

Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, shed light on the incident, stating, “After he finished washing the car, he decided to test run it without the consent of the owner.” He further explained, “It was in the process of test running it that he had an accident with the car, killing one person and injuring three others.”
