Budapest to host 2026 Champions League final

Published

The Union of European Football Associations has confirmed that Budapest’s Puskas Arena will host the 2026 Champions League final.

This will be the first time Hungary hosts the final of Europe’s top club competition. The Puskas Arena, which has a capacity of 67,000, previously hosted the 2023 Europa League final and matches during Euro 2020.

A decision on the location for the 2027 final has been postponed until September, with Milan as the likely host, provided the San Siro is not undergoing redevelopment at that time.

In other announcements, the 2026 Europa League final will be held in Istanbul, while Frankfurt will host the 2027 final. The UEFA Conference League final in 2026 will take place in Leipzig, and Istanbul’s Besiktas Stadium will host the 2027 final.

Additionally, the women’s 2026 Champions League final will be held at Oslo’s Ullevaal Stadion.
